Mona Kafeel

Mona is a remarkable individual, a proud mother of two young adults, and a devoted caregiver both in her personal and professional life. Her passion for empowering women and their families led her to assume the role of CEO at the Texas Muslim Women’s Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering personal and societal growth through comprehensive programs.

As a visionary leader in the nonprofit industry, Mona is renowned for her strategic thinking and ability to anticipate future needs. She has successfully established and manages multiple trauma-informed domestic violence shelters in Dallas, providing culturally specific support to survivors. Mona’s commitment to expanding services has resulted in the inclusion of senior housing, specifically designed to aid elderly women who have experienced abuse and abandonment.

Recognized for her exceptional community engagement, Mona serves on numerous Advisory Boards. She contributes her expertise to the Girls Scouts of North East Texas, Asian Pacific Institute on Gender Based Violence, Faith Commons, Muslim Alliance for Black Lives, North Texas Islamic Council and Collin County Council on Family Violence. Her collaboration with these organizations exemplifies her dedication to creating positive change and fostering inclusive communities.

Mona’s contributions have not gone unnoticed, as she has received several prestigious awards for her outstanding work. She is an alumni of the Muslim Civic Leadership Institute at the University of Southern California and Leadership Plano. Ameer Al-Khatahtbeh

Ameer Al-Khatahtbeh is the founder and chief executive officer of Muslim, one of the largest media publications delivering news centering the Muslim community online.

He aims to spearhead initiatives that center more Muslim voices in newsrooms, and to ensure the Muslim community is seen.

Ameer became the youngest to make the Forbes 30 Under 30 list for media in 2021.

Shahed Amanullah

Shahed Amanullah is Managing Director of Frost Capital, a Palo Alto-based private equity fund manager and investment advisor affiliated with growth strategy & research consulting firm Frost & Sullivan. He is also a co-founder of Affinis Labs, an award-winning social innovation firm that tackles complex global challenges through entrepreneurship that was acquired by Frost Capital in 2019. Shahed also co-founded Zakatify, a social impact fintech startup in partnership with the PayPal Giving Fund. From 2011-2014, Shahed served in President Barack Obama’s administration as Senior Advisor for Technology at the US Department of State, working under Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to design and launch several entrepreneurship & technology initiatives, and regularly briefed President Obama on his work.

Shahed is also the founder of Altmuslim, an online magazine with 2.5 million annual unique users, and served as its editor-in-chief for 10 years before its 2011 acquisition. In 1998, he created Zabihah, the world’s first and largest Halal restaurant guide, with 10 million annual users and 750,000 app downloads. He has been named as one of the 500 most influential Muslims in the world (2009 through 2011), one of the 500 most influential entrepreneurs in the global Islamic economy (2015 through 2019), one of Islamica Magazine’s Top 10 Most Visionary Young Muslims (2007), and the winner of the SXSW Community Service Award (2007). He has also served on the boards of nearly a dozen national non-profit organizations focused on building resilient Muslim communities in the West.

Lisa Vogl

Lisa Vogl is an international fashion photographer and co-founder of Verona Collection, the first modest fashion brand to be launched, featured and sold in an American department store.

Lisa have been featured in a major international publications and television outlets like The New York Times, Bloomberg Magazine, Cosmopolitan, Vogue, Glamour, Fortune, International Business Times, Today show, CNN, Fox News, Huffington Post and many more. Lisa has been honored by two members of congress in the state of Michigan and Florida and also in a House Resolution to congress “Recognizing American Muslims’ history and contributions to our Nation.” Lisa also serves on the advisory board for Ikram and speaks at conferences around the globe fighting for victims of domestic violence.

Born and raised in East Lansing Michigan, Vogl is a wife & mother, has a BA in Marketing and Cultural Studies from Chatham University and currently resides in Sterling Virginia.

Lisa is now working around the world combining her experience in the humanitarian sector & fashion to open up clothing factories that will provide vocational training in the field of textiles and financially empower other women
